∞ Days Without You
2025, the rehearsal of the participatory performance, ongoing
object: fabric, Japanese ink, starch
Keywords: hope, grief, lost, missing
Dedicated with solidarity to all those who have lost someone or are waiting for someone to return from captivity or are missing in action.
Through the performative act of touching white, floating fabric with ink, I attempted to translate the quiet, daily weight of sorrow and longing—feelings carried by those whose only chance of reunion comes in dreams. The rehearsed performance assumes the participation of other people as an act of manifestation of their invisible experience of indefinite loss. Textiles soaked in starch are solidified in a monumental form as a witness.
